Encounter God’s Promise is a faith step in obedience to God’s leading. You see, I’ve experienced the faithfulness of God in my life over the past 20+ years and in all that I’ve witnessed personally about Him; He has created in my heart the deepest desire and calling to share His faithfulness with others. Romans 1:11-12 has always been one of my favorite verses. “I long to see you to impart some spiritual gift to make you strong– that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by one another’s faith.”
I believe in a loving, personal, triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who desires a relationship with each of us. Jesus Christ, God’s Son, became human to reveal God’s heart and bring salvation to humanity through His life, death, and resurrection. Humanity, though created in God’s image, is broken by sin, requiring salvation that only Christ can provide. This salvation is a gift of grace, received through faith in Christ alone.
Christian living means walking in daily obedience to God, growing into Christ’s likeness through the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. I believe the church is the body of Christ, existing to glorify God and share His love and truth with the world. At Encounter God’s Promise, these beliefs shape every interaction and guide every step of the journey toward hope and healing.
Humanity was intricately created by God in His image, designed to reflect His glory and live in perfect harmony with Him (Genesis 1:26-27). As beings composed of body, soul, and spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:23), every part of us was made for relationship with God and alignment with His purposes. However, the pervasive condition of sin, inherited from Adam’s fall, has deeply affected every aspect of our being, resulting in spiritual separation from God, emotional pain, and physical brokenness (Romans 3:23). Sin distorts our identity, relationships, and ability to live as God intended, leaving humanity in desperate need of restoration and hope.
God, in His grace, offers a complete and transformative solution to this condition through His redemptive plan:
Salvation: The rescue from sin’s penalty through faith in Jesus Christ, made possible by His sacrificial death and resurrection (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Justification: A legal declaration by God, where believers are made righteous through Christ’s atonement, no longer condemned but fully accepted (Romans 3:24; 8:1).
Sanctification: The ongoing process by which believers are made holy, growing in Christlikeness through the power of the Holy Spirit and the renewing of the mind (Philippians 2:12-13; Romans 12:2).
Glorification: The ultimate restoration of body and soul in the presence of God, where sin, pain, and death will be no more (Romans 8:30; Revelation 21:4).
These steps reveal God’s multifaceted and transformative plan to bring healing, wholeness, and reconciliation. They realign us with our original design and purpose: to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. At Encounter God’s Promise, we embrace these biblical truths, offering a faith-based approach to healing that leads to lasting spiritual growth and transformation. Together, we will walk this journey, rooted in prayer and the unwavering truth of God’s Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
